Guide to Using the IEEE PDF eXpress Tool for Final Paper Submission

The IEEE PDF eXpress tool is an essential step for authors to ensure their papers meet the IEEE's formatting and compatibility requirements before final submission. Follow this step-by-step guide to navigate through the process:

Step 1: Create an Account

  1. Visit the IEEE PDF eXpress website: IEEE PDF eXpress.
  2. Click on "Create account".
  3. Enter the Conference ID: 61955X.
  4. Fill in your email address and desired password.
  5. Click "Submit" to create your account.

Step 2: Verify Your Email

  1. Check your email inbox for a verification email from IEEE PDF eXpress.
  2. Open the email and click on the verification link to confirm your email address.
  3. You will be redirected back to the IEEE PDF eXpress website.

Step 3: Login

  1. Return to the IEEE PDF eXpress login page.
  2. Enter the Conference ID: 61955X, your registered email address and password.
  3. Click "Login" to access your account.

Step 4: Add Personal Information

  1. After logging in, you will be prompted to complete your personal information if you haven't done so during account creation.
  2. Ensure all required fields are filled out accurately.
  3. Save your information.

Step 5: Access the Dashboard

  1. From the main menu, click on "Dashboard".
  2. The dashboard is where you will manage your paper submissions and see their status.

Step 6: Create a New Title

  1. On the Dashboard, click on "Create New Title".
  2. Enter the title of your paper.
  3. Click on "Continue".

Step 7: Upload Your Paper

  1. After creating the title, you will be guided to the paper upload section.
  2. Follow the instructions to upload your paper. You can submit a Word document or a PDF.
  3. The tool will check your document for IEEE Xplore compliance.
    1. If a PDF is submitted: you will receive an email stating that PDF Passed or Failed, the
      Check. If the PDF check fails, a report is attached to the email. On your account, you can click
      on "Understanding the PDF Check Report" for solutions.
    2. If source is submitted: you will receive the IEEE PDF eXpress®-generated PDF as an
      attachment, and through your IEEE PDF eXpress® account. Review PDF to ensure that it
      views on screen and prints as you intended.
  4. If necessary, revisions may be submitted (PDF or source); return to Step 2.

Step 8: If Passed

  1. When you have an acceptable IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF, approve this final PDF to
    the conference by clicking Approve button.

Step 9: Download the PDF and Submit via ConfTool

  1. Download the compliant PDF from the IEEE PDF eXpress tool.
    • Important: Do not make any edits to the downloaded PDF.
  2. Go to the ConfTool website for your conference submission.
  3. Log in to your ConfTool account.
  4. Navigate to the final submission section and upload the compliant PDF.
